What to buy from Pixi Beauty

Beauty brand Pixi Beauty in the 90s was launched by makeup artist and cosmetics designer Petra Strand: the first store with laconic banks and clear compositions opened in London. Pixi Beauty produces decorative cosmetics, accessories for make-up artists and brushes, but nevertheless, the brand’s strength is face care products, mainly with acids. The main principle of the company is to produce simple cosmetics that will help people around the world emphasize their natural beauty and will not harm the environment: the products are not tested on animals and it is suitable for vegans. In addition, in the Pixi Beauty lineup you will not find complex, narrowly targeted funds - the founders of the brand against unnecessary purchases and overproduction.

Life around has chosen eight outstanding (and simply very enjoyable) tools to start exploring with Pixi Beauty. This spring, the brand appeared in Sephora Russian stores. True, the choice here is more modest than on the same iHerb, and all funds are presented only online - you won’t be able to put it in the store.

Exfoliating toner for skin radiance

Glow tonic

15 dollars

Platinum bestseller of the brand: annually about 500 thousand bottles with a translucent tonic are sold in the world. The tool is praised by microinfluencers, models, makeup artists and beauty editors - and for good reason. Pixi Beauty managed to create a product without alcohol and oil in the composition (which means you can’t be afraid of tightness or the feeling of a “fat pancake” on the face) with a very small - 5% - addition of glycolic acid. This is enough to gently exfoliate dead skin particles, but not cause irritation even on sensitive skin (for this, aloe vera extract was also added to it). The tonic does exactly what Peter Strand promises - it makes even tired skin shine. A bonus is the lightening of pigmentation and narrowing of the pores.

Important: Acidic products can cause tingling sensations as well as irritation to sensitive skin. It is not recommended at home to use several products with different acids at the same time. Cosmetics with acids should not be applied to injured skin and wounds. The use of acid products in daily care involves the use of cream with SPF.

Shine pads

Glow Tonic To-Go

18 dollars

This is a walking version of the tonic to give shine. Pillows work no worse than the original, but are more suitable for those who are used to living on suitcases: this format is less likely to fill all the things in a backpack. True, the flow rate of the pads differs from the standard liquid version.

Important: The composition contains acid - which means that you should approach the use of pads with caution: do not interfere with other means with acids and use a cream with SPF.

Double Cleanse 2 in 1 Cleanser

24 dollars

Petra Strand developed a two-phase remedy together with another beauty guru - Caroline Hirones. The round jar is divided into two segments: in one - a dense cleansing oil, in the second - a cleansing cream. The first product washes away makeup and everything that has accumulated on the skin during the day, the second - "gets" the remains that the oil could not handle.

The product is suitable for normal, sensitive and dry skin. As part of the "nutritional three": vitamin E, camellia oil and night primrose - as well as peptides and vitamin C.

Rose Oil Blend

24 dollars

The tool only pretends to be pink oil, but in fact it is a mix of jojoba, almond, rosehip, pomegranate and geranium oils. Nourishing and moisturizing, it may even be too active for the summer, but in winter, when the skin suffers from dry air in the room and from bad weather, it is better to find a product to restore balance. Including emotional: the oil has a pleasant soothing aroma, and smooth massage movements - this is how Rose Oil Blend should be applied - will help to relax after a hard day.

DetoxifEye Depuffing Eye Patches

24 dollars

Cooling hydrogel patches with caffeine and cucumber extract will save you after a stormy night - the brand has been producing them since 1999. Soft pads moisturize the skin, relieve swelling and smooth small wrinkles (thanks to the hyaluronic acid in the composition), and at the same time promise to reduce dark circles under the eyes. The latter is a controversial issue, but with the rest the patches cope with five plus points, especially if you keep the jar in the refrigerator.

Mud Mask Glow Mud Mask

22 dollars

A mask with sea salt and ginseng extract in 15 minutes significantly reduces redness and the number of black spots on the face. While kaolin and sea salt fight inflammation, aloe vera soothes irritated skin. The mask is recommended to be used no more than three times a week and should not be overexposed (especially if you have dry or sensitive skin). To combat local inflammation, you can apply it pointwise to problem areas.

Natural Brow Duo Eyebrow Pencil

16 dollars

Double-sided eyebrow pencil with retractable soft stylus for working along the entire length of the eyebrows and a brush for fixing. Available in a concise, recognizable Pixi Beauty package in two shades: for brown-haired women and brunettes. According to the creators, the pencil is waterproof (do your eyebrows often get wet in the rain?).

Blush in stick MultiBalm

12 dollars

Cream blush in stick is recommended to be applied to the cheeks and lips (however, no one forbids to emphasize the color of other parts of the face and body). Unlike dry blush, the creamy texture allows for better shading, and also adds moisturized shine to the skin, which makeup artists and beauty bloggers are chasing. Such a remedy is suitable for normal and dry skin: it does not emphasize peeling and wrinkles.

If ordering makeup at random is scary, go to the nearest "Girlfriend" - there you can try a similar multi-stick Vivienne Sabo before buying. True, in the case of the French brand, you can not count on a laconic design.
